Backup diesel power plants in elite residential complexes of KADORR Group

New European standards in residential construction are primarily about the safety and autonomy of power systems, which are essential for the stable operation of infrastructure and communications in buildings. Odesa-based investment and construction company KADORR Group, which is the undisputed leader in the elite real estate market of Odesa and the southern region, was one of the first in Ukraine to include power backup in the list of mandatory engineering support for newly built facilities.

To select a supplier of generator equipment, the company held an open tender. As a result of the tender, Dalgakiran Compressor Ukraine LLC, a manufacturer and distributor of industrial diesel power plants, was selected among the leading Ukrainian generator suppliers. The main criteria that influenced the choice of DALGAKIRAN generators were the price, constant availability of both the power plants and original spare parts, as well as the location of the branch and service center of the Dalgakiran representative office in Odesa.

The fruitful cooperation between KADORR Group and Dalgakiran began in 2014, when the first DJ 345 DD diesel generator was delivered to be used as the main power source for tower cranes and auxiliary equipment of the building under construction. The Dalgakiran diesel power plant has proven to be a reliable power source, undemanding to fuel quality, able to withstand long overloads, inrush currents and, most importantly for a facility located in a busy area of the city, with low noise. After the construction was completed, this generator was installed as a backup source of electricity for the completed building.

The next stage was the installation of a DJ-CP COOPER diesel power plant for the Mriya private school, which is widely known among Odesa residents. After that, another 14 diesel generators of the DJ-DD series (based on Doosan Daewoo engines) were selected for backup power supply of life support systems for residential complexes and buildings. They are used to ensure uninterrupted operation in the event of a power outage:

• elevators;
• air conditioning and ventilation systems;
• fire protection system pumps;
• alarms, video surveillance, panic buttons, and other vital systems.

The wide range of industrial diesel generators offered by Dalgakiran made it possible to optimally select power plants in terms of power (from 150 to 1320 kW) for each of the facilities. It is worth noting that the most popular models for KADORR Group are DJ 335 DD, DJ 583 DD, DJ 750 DD, DJ 825 DD. In addition, synchronized diesel generator sets with a total capacity of 930 and 1320 kW were delivered to the client’s facilities, and the last 6 stations were supplied together with a remote GSM monitoring system.

At the moment, Dalgakiran Compressor Ukraine continues to cooperate with Kadorr Group and supplies power plants to new buildings, restaurants, hotel complexes, office centers and performs routine maintenance of the installed generator equipment.
