Compressor equipment for the Prydniprovska railway

For many years, Dalgakiran Compressor Ukraine has been successfully cooperating with one of the largest Ukrainian enterprises, Ukrzaliznytsia. Recent projects include the supply of three screw compressors to Odesa Railways in 2019, which significantly improved the efficiency of switching devices and car decelerators. In December of the same year, a CUMMINS diesel generator set (60 Hz) was delivered for the rail grinding train RSP-48K.
In 2021, our company completed another project for Ukrzaliznytsia, this time for the regional branch Prydniprovska Railways.
Prydniprovska Railways began operations back in 1873, when the Lozova-Oleksandrivsk railway section was opened. Prominent engineers of their time took part in the development of the railroad, and the volume of traffic grew rapidly, reaching 677 thousand passengers in 1880. In 1991, after Ukraine gained independence, a new chapter in the history of the Prydniprovska Railroad began, when it became part of Ukrzaliznytsia.
Taking into account the previous successful cooperation between Ukrzaliznytsia and Dalgakiran, including the supply of modern energy-efficient compressors, our specialists were able to offer the best technical solution in the tender announced by Prydniprovska Railways for the supply of compressor equipment. As a result, DALGAKIRAN direct-drive screw compressors of the DVK D and Inversys DPR series were installed and put into operation in the structural units of the company:
- DVK 220D – 2 units.
- DVK 150D – 3 units.
- DVK 75D – 8 units.
- Inversys 55 DPR – 2 units.
The direct drive ensures higher efficiency than models with a classic belt drive. In addition to their high efficiency, DVK D screw compressors are designed for long, continuous operation even at high ambient temperatures, thanks to a combined cooling system (oil + air). In addition, this line of compressors has a three-stage oil separation system, which allows for clean compressed air.
To operate on outdoor production sites at any time of the year, the Inversys 55 DPR compressors were installed in two compressor stations, which are equipped with their own heating and cooling systems and auxiliary compressed air treatment equipment. The frequency control of the shaft speed of these compressors allows for additional energy savings – the performance is adjusted according to the needs of the connected consumers.
Compressor equipment installed at railway stations in the Dnipropetrovs’k and Zaporizhzhya regions meets their technological needs for compressed air around the clock.
