Automation and Control System (ACS)

The automatic control system is designed to ensure the operation of the station according to a given algorithm in the “setup” (manual) and “automatic” modes, control parameters, protect (shut down) the station from emergency modes of operation, and provide the operator with information about the state of the mechanisms. The type of automated control system is microprocessor-based automation manufactured by leading world manufacturers.

The automated control system provides:

• control of key parameters and process control;
• soft start or frequency control of the compressor motor;
• visualization and parameterization of the compressor unit operation using a color touchscreen operator panel;
• emergency automatic shutdown of the station at:
  • process parameters exceeding the permissible limits;
  • fire or gas contamination in the compressor unit, for which the station is equipped with a gas contamination detection and alarm system and a fire alarm system;
• blocking the station’s start-up when the process parameters exceed the permissible limits;
• emergency ventilation in the compressor unit room when the gas content reaches 10% of the LEL, emergency shutdown of the plant at 20% of the LEL;
• sound and light signaling of faults.
