6SGI Compressors for CNG Filling Stations

The 6SGI compressor is a two-row reciprocating opposed-cycle machine. The compressor belongs to the class of positive displacement compressors that deliver gas from a low-pressure space to a higher-pressure space by periodically repeating increases and decreases in the cylinder working cavities. As the volume increases, the working cavity communicates with the suction pipeline and sucks gas. When the volume decreases, the gas enclosed in the cavity is compressed and then forced into the discharge pipeline. The compressor consists of a base and cylinder-piston groups attached to the base.

The opposed design is used in gas compressors to improve performance and ensure efficiency:

• The pistons moving in opposite directions can compensate for each other and balance vibrations and inertial forces, which helps to maintain stable operation of the compressor.
• The design ensures uniform movement of the pistons and cylinders, which helps to ensure more efficient operation.
• The balanced operation of the pistons helps to reduce vibrations, which is important for reducing equipment wear.
