ROBUSCHI Blower for a wastewater treatment plant in Volodymyr-Volynskyi

The problem of electricity overconsumption at the sewage treatment plant in Volodymyr-Volynskyi has existed for many years. Specialists of the Water and Sewerage Department (WSD) of Volodymyr-Volynskyi were looking for a solution. Volodymyr-Volynskyi were looking for a solution that met technical and environmental requirements, as well as the city’s budget. Until now, the wastewater treatment plant had been using TV-80-1.6 turbo blowers with 160 kW electric motors. The high electricity consumption was the result of a significant decrease in the amount of wastewater received by the municipal wastewater treatment plant, as well as the unevenness of its flow. The amount of incoming wastewater varies depending on the season and time of day, but the performance of the installed turbo blowers could not be regulated due to the dynamic principle of operation. All of this led to energy overruns and, ultimately, to financial losses for the company.

The decision to allocate budgetary funding for the replacement of compressor equipment was made after a visit by city council members to the wastewater treatment plant in June 2019. Given the high electricity consumption, the critical condition of the existing equipment, and in order to avoid man-made and natural emergencies, the city council decided to allocate funds from the city budget for the purchase of a modern ROBUSCHI EL 126/5C rotary blower with a 110 kW electric motor complete with a control cabinet with a frequency converter.

On November 15, an Italian-made ROBUSCHI EL 126/5C blower was delivered to the treatment plant of the Volodymyr-Volynskyi city’s water and wastewater treatment plant.

The installation of a ROBUSCHI EL 126/5C rotary blower has made it possible to ensure a sustainable and efficient process of biological treatment of sewage and wastewater in Volodymyr-Volynskyi, with significantly lower energy consumption due to the use of a lower-power electric motor. The ability to regulate the equipment’s performance allows the supply of compressed air in the amount necessary to maintain a given concentration of dissolved oxygen, depending on the amount of incoming wastewater. At the same time, excessive power consumption is excluded, which can significantly reduce the payback period of the new equipment.

Dalgakiran Compressor Ukraine is the largest authorized distributor of rotary blowers made by the Italian manufacturer GARDNER DENVER S.r.l. – Divisione ROBUSCHI”. As the official sales representative and authorized service center of ROBUSCHI in Ukraine, Dalgakiran Compressor Ukraine guarantees high quality of the supplied equipment, confirmed by certificates of compliance with European and Ukrainian standards, as well as numerous letters of recommendation and positive customer feedback.

Dalgakiran Compressor Ukraine LLC provides a full range of services for pneumatic audit, selection of equipment that meets all the requirements of the facility, advises on the choice of equipment based on customer needs, performs on-site supervision of equipment, commissioning, instruction of maintenance personnel, warranty and post-warranty service, as well as repair work of any complexity on the basis of its own repair center.

ROBUSCHI blowers are used in all industries that require low-pressure compressed air. Blowers provide compressed air for the operation of pneumatic conveying lines for bulk products and materials, pumping bulk products and materials from tank trucks, operation of high-temperature furnaces, sedimentation machines, drying lines for dry products, vegetable oil filtration lines, oxygenation of water bodies for fish farming, aeration of wastewater at biological treatment plants and many other purposes. Thanks to the experience of Dalgakiran Compressor Ukraine specialists, a number of projects to reduce energy consumption at water treatment plants of water utilities in many Ukrainian cities have been implemented. ROBUSCHI blowers are used at the sewage treatment plants of Drohobych, Shepetivka, Lutsk, Bohodukhiv, Hayvoron, Novomoskovsk, Nadvirna, Baranivka, Skadovsk, Kamen-Kashyrsky, Melitopol, Sumy, Enerhodar, Skvyra, Zaporizhzhia, Fastiv, Shostka and many other cities.
