Rental of generator equipment for construction works in winter
The onset of the cold season traditionally increases the need for electricity supply for consumers operating in all industries. Additional power supply is especially in demand for construction companies. One of these construction companies, which is carrying out construction work in the city of Bucha, turned to Dalgakiran Compressor Ukraine to solve the issue of increasing the power supply capacity of consumers at the facility under construction, as well as two residential apartment buildings for the entire winter period. Having received all the requirements from the customer and worked out the terms of reference, our specialists offered to rent diesel generators together with ATS (automatic transfer switches).

To solve the tasks, two CUMMINS diesel generators with a capacity of 220 kVA each were used with the possibility of parallel operation with each other, as well as with the possibility of synchronization with the existing network (RU-0.4 KTP-400 kVA). Together with them, two AVR-630A cabinets were installed at the customer’s site, and the connection was made using switching power cables. The entire backup power supply system was fully assembled by DALGAKIRAN specialists for full automatic operation, starting with the start-up of generators, synchronization, switching, monitoring of electrical readings and ending with the shutdown of generators and putting them into automatic standby mode.
The installed power supply system was divided into two categories:
- the highest category – to provide electricity to two residential buildings;
- the first category is for a construction site, where the main consumer is a step-down transformer used to heat concrete.
Automation controllers of the installed generator equipment monitor not only the loss of power at switchgear 0.4, but also its quality. If the grid does not meet the power supply standards, a command is sent to start the diesel generators and the ATS is switched according to the priority by category.
