DVK 220D screw compressors for the Odesa seaport

In September 2018, the project was completed, which included the supply of two DVK 220D compressors with winter start-up and a capacity of 23.5^m3/min each at a pressure of 10 bar to Dalgakiran Compressor Ukraine LLC for the Odesa Sea Port.

The compressors were delivered in two stages: the first in May 2018 and the second in September 2018. This compressor equipment was intended to provide the dock of the Port of Odesa with compressed air, the main consumers of which are sandblasters and painters responsible for cleaning and painting the hulls of ships. The project was an important milestone for the Port of Odesa, as it allowed the port to replace technically outdated and unreliable reciprocating compressors that required high energy consumption.

The DVK D series direct-drive screw compressors supplied to the Odesa seaport have many advantages and are in high demand in almost all industrial areas. The direct-drive system avoids mechanical energy losses, unlike the belt drive system, which results in compressed air production with lower energy consumption. The suction system eliminates dust in the environment, as it is equipped with an innovative dry-type fiberglass air pre-filter. The screw unit is cooled by the air intake fan, which creates a turbo effect inside the device, increasing its performance. These and many other advantages of the DALGAKIRAN DVK D series compressors were decisive in choosing the equipment that could solve the tasks set by the Port of Odesa within the project.

One of the factors that influenced the customer’s choice was the presence of a Dalgakiran branch in the immediate vicinity, located in Odesa. The service center of the Odesa representative office has everything necessary for the prompt performance of warranty and post-warranty maintenance of compressors, as well as for both minor and major repairs of equipment.
