Peristaltic pumps for the production of Geberit sanitary ware

Dalgakiran Compressor Ukraine has supplied pumping equipment for the largest European manufacturer of sanitary ware – Geberit Group.

The production of ceramic sanitary ware is not complete without ceramic grout, a viscous aqueous mixture that contains a range of components, from clay to quartz. The grout is used at the first stages of production and plays a key role in the quality of the resulting sanitary ware.

Geberit is a Swiss group of companies specializing in the production and supply of sanitary parts and related systems. It is a leader in its field in Europe with a global presence through subsidiaries in America, Asia and Africa. High quality products are the hallmark of Geberit. Therefore, when the company faced the problem of pumping ceramic slurry with minimal pulsation and the need to create a European standard dosing line, it decided to turn to one of the leading suppliers of industrial pumping equipment – Dalgakiran Compressor Ukraine.

The implementation of the supply project began with the clarification of the tasks of the pumping equipment at the Geberit production facility – dosing of ceramic grout for coating porcelain stoneware tiles. This became the starting point for selecting a specific pump, taking into account the main task and additional customer requirements. For the task, the ELRO XP 200 peristaltic pump with a capacity of 500 l/h based on a Siemens frequency converter was selected.

The ELRO XP 200 series of industrial peristaltic pumps is designed specifically for use in harsh environments, which distinguishes them from their counterparts by their high performance and maximum reliability. The ELRO XP 200 is characterized by resistance to aggressive viscous media and is used for pumping substances with a viscosity of up to 60 thousand cSt. Advantages of the pump:

• self-priming from a depth of up to 9.5 m;
• versatility in pumping substances with different physical and chemical properties;
• the possibility of dry operation;
• simple design and ease of maintenance;
• discharge pressure up to 4 bar;
• the ability to smoothly adjust performance.

The maximum pump capacity is 2.7^m3/h, and the inner diameter of the hose is 35 mm, which allows pumping sludge and substances containing large solid particles.

The ELRO XP 200 peristaltic pump supplied by our company was the perfect choice for the tasks of a sanitary ware manufacturer such as Geberit and laid the foundation for further cooperation.
