On the way to energy independence of Ukraine

Ukraine’s desire for independence in all areas is becoming increasingly important. That is why in recent years, our country has been actively increasing energy production, in which a large share is occupied by domestic natural gas production. The main driver on the way to full independence from external resources in the gas energy sector is JSC Ukrgasvydobuvannya, which is rapidly developing gas production facilities and increasing both their number and production volume of each.

Due to the modernization of existing fields and the discovery of new ones, Ukrgasvydobuvannya JSC decided to use only high-quality and energy-efficient equipment to increase the natural gas production productivity. In real conditions, wells are located far from power supply sources, where laying power lines takes a lot of time, labor and financial resources or is simply not possible, the main source of power supply is diesel power plants that provide a constant supply of electricity, which allows to create a continuous production process. For these purposes, the flagship of the Ukrainian gas production sector conducted a rigorous selection among diesel generator sets manufacturers and chose equipment manufactured by Cummins Power Generation.

In 2017-2018, Dalgakiran Compressor Ukraine LLC successfully delivered more than 20 Cummins diesel generator sets with a total capacity of more than 3 mW to the facilities of JSC Ukrgasvydobuvannya, which guarantee continuous and reliable power supply for natural gas production and processing.
