DALGAKIRAN diesel generator with Baudouin engine for the next McDonald’s restaurant

In October 2021, the first McDonald’s restaurant in Ukraine opened at 6 Boryspilska St., Hora village, right along the highway. A well-lit, spacious hall with a capacity of 94 people (plus a terrace for 92 seats), self-service terminals, a robotic station for automatic beverage dispensing – all this requires a high-quality uninterrupted power supply. In order not to interrupt the operation of the restaurant during power outages, the restaurant management decided to purchase a powerful diesel power plant. Taking into account the equipment’s compliance with European quality standards, attractive pricing and successful experience of cooperation during the electrification of the restaurant at 65 Peremohy Ave.
A DJ293BD diesel generator was installed near the facility, which can be used both as the main and backup power source. In the first case, its capacity is 267 kVA, in the second – 293 kVA. The generator operates together with an automatic transfer switch (ATS). This system constantly monitors the voltage of the power inputs and the load current, so if there are problems with the power supply to the consumer from the main power source, it immediately automatically connects the backup equipment.

The DALGAKIRAN DJ293BD generator allows you to induce an electric current with a voltage of 380 V and has a high efficiency, as it belongs to three-phase diesel power plants. The device has a standard power factor of 0.8. The unit is powered by an engine from the French company Baudouin, which has been manufacturing powerful diesel engines for industrial purposes for more than 100 years. The installed diesel electric generator is characterized by relatively low fuel consumption: at 75% load, approximately 42.2 liters of fuel are consumed per hour. The DJ293BD generator engine has been certified in accordance with the following international standards:
- ISO 9001 (regulates the organization’s quality management system);
- ISO 14001 (ensures that the product does not have a negative impact on the environment);
- IATF 16949 (provides recommendations for improving engines and preventing defects in their operation);
- OHSAS 18001 (controls occupational health and safety during production).
Dalgakiran provides a warranty for its generators: 2 years from the date of commissioning or 1000 hours of operation. But in practice, all devices work much longer. In the event of a malfunction, service centers located in 11 major cities across the country will quickly and efficiently repair the equipment. To prevent the failure of a diesel power plant of this capacity, it is recommended to carry out maintenance every 200 to 250 hours of operation.
