Oil-free compressed air for a new sunflower oil filling line of TM Chumak

Delta Wilmar Ukraine LLC, a member of the Wilmar International agro-industrial corporation group, is one of the leading Ukrainian producers of sunflower oil and vegetable fats. Delta Wilmar’s Ukrainian assets include oilseeds and tropical crops processing plants and production assets of Chumak PJSC, which joined the group in 2019. Supplying its products to more than 40 countries, the company is the largest Ukrainian exporter of bulk refined sunflower oil with a market share of 16.6% in 2020.

As part of its production expansion, at the end of 2020, Delta Wilmar launched a new production line for bottling Chumak refined sunflower oil into PET containers with a volume of up to 5 liters. It was decided to equip the oil bottling plant, in the construction of which $5.5 million was invested, with oil-free DALGAKIRAN PET MASTER series reciprocating compressors and oil-free DALGAKIRAN EAGLE series screw compressors.

The main requirement of the Customer for the compressors was the complete absence of lubricant in the compressed air used for blowing PET containers, as well as for other technological needs of the sunflower oil filling line. The energy efficiency of the proposed oil-free DALGAKIRAN compressors, the possibility of supplying and installing an auxiliary set of equipment, and the availability of a service department in close proximity to the production site (Odesa region) were the main factors in choosing our company as a supplier.

To implement this project, the scope of delivery included the following equipment:

• Two oil-free reciprocating compressors with frequency control of capacity DALGAKIRAN PET MASTER 75 VSD with a capacity of 4.1…5.5^m3/min each, with an operating pressure of 40 bar.
• Oil-free screw compressor with frequency control of capacity DALGAKIRAN EAGLE 75 VSD with a capacity of 3.4…12.1^m3/min and an operating pressure of 7 bar.
• Two refrigerated compressed air dryers DryAir DK 577 HP.
• Adsorption dryer for compressed air DBP 850.
• Two DHT 500 receivers (40 bar).
• Closed-type cooling tower and pumping station for cooling PET MASTER compressors.

Dalgakiran engineers performed the entire range of works on the supply, installation and commissioning of the equipment. At the moment, the installed equipment is successfully fulfilling its tasks of producing absolutely clean and dry compressed air for the needs of the new oil bottling shop. Maintenance is carried out by Dalgakiran’s Odesa branch.
