Diesel generator DALGAKIRAN DJ33BD for a maternity hospital

“Municipal Clinical Maternity Hospital No. 2 named after M.H. Helferich is a top-class clinical facility that serves not only Kharkiv residents but also residents of the Kharkiv region. Maternity hospital No. 2 is one of the oldest medical institutions in Kharkiv with more than 100 years of history. During this time, more than 125,000 children have been born in this maternity hospital, and the facility has received the status of a “Child Friendly Hospital” from UNICEF.

The key to the health of children and mothers is not only a team of highly qualified specialists with vast experience, but also a good material base of the maternity hospital. Artificial lung ventilation devices for newborns, diagnostic equipment for intensive care units, and advanced laboratory equipment require uninterrupted operation. And for this, according to modern realities, a reliable backup power generator is needed.

As a result of the tender won, in December 2020, Dalgakiran Compressor Ukraine delivered and put into operation a DALGAKIRAN DJ33BD diesel generator. This series is characterized by high reliability due to the use of the well-proven Baudouin diesel engine and Crompton alternator. The rated power in continuous operation is 24 kW, in standby mode – 30 kVA. This power is sufficient to ensure continuous operation of vital equipment.

The DALGAKIRAN DJ33BD has a relatively low fuel consumption of 5.4 l/h at 75% load, and the 90-liter fuel tank allows the power plant to operate with such a load for more than 16 hours without refueling. The enclosed design ensures a low noise level not exceeding 64 dBA. An additional advantage of the diesel generator is its rather compact dimensions – 950*2200*1450 mm.

The generator is paired with an ATS (automatic transfer switchboard), which in case of fluctuations or power outages automatically starts the DGU without the participation of hospital staff.
