DALGAKIRAN DJ825BD power plant for backup of a paving slabs production plant

“Zolotoy Mandarin is one of Ukraine’s leading manufacturers of paving slabs and decorative concrete products. Guided by the mission statement “New for the best”, the company takes a thorough approach to the selection of suppliers of raw materials, production and energy equipment.

To ensure uninterrupted production in the event of an emergency power outage, the company decided to install a powerful backup diesel power plant on the plant’s territory. After analyzing the proposals, a 660 kW DALGAKIRAN DJ825BD diesel power plant with a Baudouin Moteurs engine (France) was selected. The main feature of this diesel generator is the ability to use it for both backup and autonomous power supply of production around the clock.

Dalgakiran completed a project to supply and launch a turnkey diesel generator. Our technical specialists carried out the work at the customer’s site:

• development of a technical solution for connecting 825 kVA of diesel generator sets;
• installation and connection of an automatic transfer switch (ATS) system with motorized circuit breakers;
• laying of cable routes taking into account the maximum currents of 1192 A.

The works were performed with the preservation of the power supply scheme for category II consumers from the network inputs.

One of the main advantages of the chosen power plant model is a unique all-weather container developed by the manufacturer. The optimal arrangement of all units and components in it makes maintenance of the diesel generator set as convenient as possible. The efficient cooling system allows the diesel generator set to operate around the clock at ambient temperatures up to +50 °C without any loss of power, and the heating system allows the engine to start at the lowest possible temperatures.
