IMPETUS 90-315 Series Two-Stage Compressors (5.7-45.73 m³/min)

Dalgakiran IMPETUS screw compressors based on a two-stage screw unit are a new series of energy-efficient industrial compressor equipment for 2022. The line of compressors in the series includes models with an operating pressure of 7.5 – 8.5 – 10 – 13 bar and a power of 90 to 315 kW.

IMPETUS compressors use an intercooling system that is very similar in principle to two-stage isothermal compression. In the 1st stage, air is sucked in at atmospheric pressure and brought to an intermediate pressure. Interstage cooling is provided by lubricant injection. The final pressure is achieved in the second compression stage.

The two-stage compression process reduced internal air leakage. The air flow is increased by 10% at the same shaft power compared to the previous generation of compressors, which in turn increased energy efficiency.

In addition, axial and radial loads were reduced, which significantly increased the service life of the compressor unit.

The use of low-speed rotors in the design also contributed to the reliability of the compressor, further reducing operating noise.

High efficiency at low and high speeds is ensured by a two-stage drive with an intercooler based on an electric asynchronous motor from WEG (efficiency class IE4 and protection class IP55).

According to the test results, the energy efficiency increased by 14.5% compared to standard single-stage screw compressors.
