Thermoforming machines

Thermoforming machines are used to produce plastic products, mainly cups and containers of various shapes and sizes. Thermoforming equipment with combined and separate molding and die-cutting operations. The units are equipped with pneumatic equipment, drive technology and automatic control equipment, which guarantees the production of high quality products with excellent performance and minimal production costs.

What is thermoforming?

Thermoforming is a technological process in which products of a certain shape are created from polymer film or plates preheated to a certain temperature. During thermoforming, two main operations are performed one after the other:

  • material heating – the material to be processed is mounted in a needle holder around the perimeter of the molded surface and heated by electric infrared emitters located at a distance of approximately 125 mm on one or both sides of the workpiece;
  • Stretching and forming the workpiece – by stretching, the thickness of the material’s cross-section changes, and by vacuum (or pneumatic) forming, it is shaped into the required shape.

They are made by thermoforming:

  • disposable food packaging, plates;
  • packaging for cosmetic products, household chemicals, and industrial goods;
  • products for various fields of activity: light boxes, advertising signs, covers, industrial machinery covers, transportation pallets, etc.

Polyethylene, polyvinyl chloride, polystyrene, polypropylene, polyethylene terephthalate are used as materials.

Features of thermoforming machines

Extrusion and thermoforming lines with the possibility of individual configuration. Each thermoforming machine is equipped with an automatic stacker and is fully automated. The units are adapted to the production of products from a wide range of materials: PP / PE / PET / GPPS / HIPS / EPS / PVC.
