LLC «Dalgakiran Compressor Ukraine» implements comprehensive projects for the construction of diesel, gas and cogeneration power plants «turnkey» of any capacity.

We take on the full cycle of works: from analyzing electrical loads and selecting equipment to construction and installation works, connecting automation systems, commissioning and round-the-clock service support.

Stages of construction of a «turnkey» power plant

1. Energy consumption audit and calculation of the required capacity

The first stage is determining the actual load profile of the facility and the requirements for power supply reliability.

  • For existing facilities: An energy audit is carried out with measurements of starting and operating currents, study of electricity consumption schedules, power factor and assessment of the quality of the incoming grid.
  • For new facilities: The total electrical capacity is calculated based on the design data of technological equipment, engineering systems of the facility and the power supply category (Category I, II or III).

Stage result: Determination of the optimal rated and backup capacity of the power plant, selection of the fuel type (diesel/gas) and determination of the need for an ATS or synchronization system.

2. Feasibility study (FS) and concept selection

At this stage, various project implementation options are compared to select the most economically advantageous solution.

We calculate and compare:

  • Capital expenditures (CAPEX) for the purchase and installation of equipment;
  • Operating expenses (OPEX): fuel cost (diesel / natural gas / liquefied gas), costs of lubricants and regular maintenance;
  • Cost of the generated kilowatt-hour;
  • Feasibility of implementing cogeneration (simultaneous generation of electricity and heat);
  • Payback period of the solution when using the power plant as a primary or backup source.

Stage result: A feasibility study approved by the customer with a clear justification for the choice of the power plant type and investment payback periods.

3. Development of project documentation

At the third stage, a set of design and estimate documentation and fire and environmental safety standards of Ukraine is developed.

The project covers all engineering subsystems of the power plant:

  • Electrical part: Power cable routes, distribution boards, ATS systems, grounding and lightning protection;
  • Fuel system: Fuel tanks, automatic pumping systems, pipelines and filtration;
  • Exhaust system: Silencers, exhaust ducts, thermal insulation and gas neutralization;
  • Ventilation and cooling: Supply and exhaust louvers, air ducts, noise absorption systems;
  • Automation and dispatching: Control panels, parameter monitoring (RS-485 / Modbus / Ethernet), remote control.

Stage result: A completed working project agreed with the customer and relevant authorities, estimate documentation and equipment specification.

4. Construction works and site preparation

The fourth stage includes construction and installation preparation of the site for generator set installation.

  • Installation indoors: Preparation of foundations/heavy-duty floors with vibration isolation, installation of technological openings for supply and exhaust ventilation and exhaust ducts, laying of cable ducts and arrangement of oil collectors are carried out.
  • Installation outdoors (containerized / canopied version): A reinforced concrete foundation slab is constructed, fencing is arranged, and underground power and fuel lines are connected.

Stage result: A ready construction site or premises that meet the technical requirements for installing heavy power equipment.

5. Supply, installation and engineering piping

The fifth stage provides for the delivery of the power plant to the facility, its installation, mounting and connection of all related systems.

Our specialists carry out:

  • Rigging works to position generator sets on foundations;
  • Installation of diesel or gas generators, ATS systems and power distribution boards;
  • Installation of the fuel system (external tanks, pumping stations, fuel pipelines);
  • Installation of the exhaust gas removal system (ducts, thermal insulation);
  • Laying and connection of power and control cable lines;
  • Installation of silencers, ventilation valves with control panels.

Stage result: An installed and fully connected energy complex ready for initial start-up.

6. Start-up, adjustment, load testing and training

The final stage — commissioning works and putting the power plant into normal operation.

Engineers of «Dalgakiran Compressor Ukraine» perform:

  • Checking the correctness of installation, insulation resistance and grounding circuits;
  • Adjustment of automatic control units and control panel parameters;
  • Testing of the ATS system (simulation of loss and restoration of the external grid);
  • Load testing (including the use of load modules to test operation at 25%, 50%, 100% and 110% capacity);
  • Checking synchronization and parallel operation modes (if the project provides for several generators).

Personnel training: We provide full instruction to the customer’s technical specialists on operating rules, daily inspections, monitoring fuel/oil levels, actions in case of alarm signals and safety procedures.

Stage result: Signing of the commissioning certificate, transfer of a set of as-built documentation and acceptance of the facility for warranty service.
