BackSupply of a Robuschi blower to Fastivvodokanal.
Dalgakiran Compressor Ukraine LLC continues to make efforts to introduce energy-efficient equipment at sewage treatment plants of housing and communal services in Ukraine. One of the most prominent examples is the replacement of equipment at the sewage treatment plant of Fastivvodokanal.
From the moment of construction to the present, the amount of wastewater entering the treatment facilities of the Fastivvodokanal has decreased by more than half compared to the design capacity. The water utility faced the issue of energy conservation, as the amount of compressed air supplied to the aeration tanks far exceeded the actual needs of the treatment facilities. Until then, the treatment plant had been operating TV turbo blowers. The dynamic principle of operation of TV turboblowers does not allow for capacity control at a constant operating pressure. Attempts to regulate the capacity of the turbo blowers by means of an inlet valve did not give the desired result, because when the capacity was reduced in this way, the power consumption remained almost unchanged.
After the water utility contacted Dalgakiran Compressor Ukraine LLC, our specialists performed preliminary calculations and selected a Robuschi ES 106/4P rotary blower, and in January 2019 it was put into operation at the customer’s wastewater treatment plant. The blower is equipped with a control cabinet with a frequency converter, which allows you to adjust its performance in a wide range. The volumetric compression principle ensures a constant working pressure, regardless of the shaft speed. Water utility employees can adjust the blower’s performance depending on the amount of wastewater flow and the concentration of contamination. This eliminates unnecessary energy consumption.
The energy efficiency of the ES 106/4P industrial blower and the correctness of the technical specifications were confirmed during operation. The equipment fully meets the needs of sewage treatment plants for a stable sewage treatment process, while reducing energy consumption by an average of 30%.
The blower performance is currently regulated manually. The control cabinet with a frequency converter, which is equipped with the blower, has the ability to be controlled externally (from dissolved oxygen sensors, connection to a general dispatch system, etc.) and programmed for automatic operation. The installed ES 106/4P industrial blower is adapted to perform the most demanding tasks at no additional cost.
