Building a runway

In order to lay 4 km of concrete pavement 75 meters wide and 1 meter thick, the builders built four concrete plants at the site of the future facility.

Screw compressors are a standard solution for transporting cement at concrete plants, and air dryers are also used at such facilities. Dalgakiran Compressor Ukraine, a well-established supplier of industrial equipment, was ready to provide the necessary equipment.

However, the customers, who were responsible for the complex construction and timely delivery of the facility of national importance, were very careful in resolving all issues. After conducting a detailed market monitoring, the builders chose Dalgakiran equipment for the low price of the units and the European quality of the machinery.

Participation in success

On July 26, 2011, Donetsk International Airport opened a new runway. At the opening ceremony, Vice Prime Minister Boris Kolesnikov noted that the new runway fully complies with all international standards and is capable of handling all types of aircraft, including Airbus A380 and Boeing 747. The landing of the Mriya aircraft in Donetsk on the opening day confirmed the high quality of the runway.

According to experts, Donetsk airport’s runway is the most modern in Ukraine and one of the best in Europe. We are pleased to realize that Dalgakiran has made a worthy contribution to this victory.
