Rent a 1000 kVA generator at the elevator

At the end of September 2019, Dalgakiran Compressor Ukraine signed an agreement with an agricultural enterprise in Zhytomyr region to lease a 1000 kVA Aggreko containerized generator to provide electricity to an elevator.

The Aggreko diesel generator is used at the elevator to cover the electricity shortage in the fall, during the preparation and storage of grain. In a short time, we found a unique technical solution by offering the customer to rent a 1000 kVA Aggreko diesel power plant, which helped to fully cover the power shortage at the facility.

Designed in accordance with the international ISO standard and the EU Machinery and Equipment Safety Directive, the Aggreko generator meets TA Luft standards for exhaust emissions, making it an ideal choice for agricultural enterprises where environmental safety is particularly important. Aggreko equipment can be used as a stand-alone or as an additional source of power supply – to synchronize with the central power grid and increase the capacity of the elevator during periods of power shortages.

The lease agreement was concluded for 3 months – the period for bringing the grain products to the required condition – with the possibility of extension.

Other Ukrainian agricultural enterprises periodically face the problem of lack of grain storage capacity, especially during the harvest season, when the demand for electricity increases significantly. Often, grain storage facilities built in the Soviet era are technically incapable of providing the necessary conditions for storing grain crops in accordance with modern quality requirements and need urgent renovation. But not all agricultural enterprises can afford to buy new, high-tech equipment.

The lack of the ability to quickly and completely modernize elevators forces farmers to store their crops in warehouses and under sheds, which inevitably leads to a deterioration in grain quality. Seasonal rental of high-capacity power generators (1 MW or more) solves the problem of electricity shortages, helps to maintain production profitability and sell the harvested crop.

For example, two generators with a capacity of 1250 kVA each are already in operation at a food production facility in Lviv region.
