High-pressure compressor DKK 40 for the tugboat of ASKET SHIPPING

ASKET SHIPPING is engaged in freight forwarding, freight transport leasing and agency. The company recently purchased a vessel to tow a barge for grain transportation. The tug needed to be repaired and new compressors installed to run the ship’s diesel engines.
During the tender, the choice was made in favor of Dalgakiran Compressor Ukraine LLC. On 10.09.20, two DKK 40 compressors were provided – this is the best option for a vessel of this type, given the small dimensions of the engine room.
High-pressure compressors are used to start the main engines. Dalgakiran offers 3 models of two-stage reciprocating devices with a capacity of 5.5 to 20 hp, which are Lloyd’s certified. They are distinguished by the presence of a high pressure gauge, an air filter at the inlet, and a special suction valve system. Moreover, the units are equipped with reinforced bearings required for high-pressure applications, an electric motor (IP 54 protection) and a drive pulley guard in accordance with CE standards.

The company uses high-quality, durable materials, which is an important condition when choosing a compressor with a high load. All components are characterized by high wear resistance.

The tug is now fully operational and will soon be making voyages along the Dnipro River with a long-distance run near Kherson. ASKET Shipping will strengthen its position in the Ukrainian grain forwarding market.
