Expanding cooperation with Turboatom PJSC

PJSC Turboatom is one of the leading enterprises in Ukraine and one of the world’s largest manufacturers of turbines for power plants of all types, including nuclear power plants. Given the specificity and importance of its products – high-tech turbines with the most stringent requirements for material quality, geometric dimensional accuracy, etc. – it is not surprising that the high criteria that the company’s process equipment must meet are also high.

Therefore, the cooperation of any supplier with Turboatom is a clear sign that it offers highly reliable products with high technical characteristics, moreover, at a competitive price. After all, any enterprise is now looking for a supplier of equipment on its own, based on its technical excellence and cost.

Cooperation between Dalgakiran Compressor Ukraine LLC and Turboatom PJSC began in 2009, when the first tender was won. In 2011, two DVK 340DD compressors were delivered for the production needs of the company. These are direct-drive screw-type machines with a capacity of 45 m3/min of compressed air at 7.5 bar. These screw compressors are used at Turboatom to power various pneumatic tools (wrenches, grinders, metal trimming tools), as well as machine tools, presses and other equipment, providing compressed air to the production process.

Distinctive features of DVK 340DD compressors are:

1. The use of ENDURO screw blocks (Finland) with a new high-performance rotor profile.
2. High efficiency (thanks to the direct drive and the above feature), which, given the significant power consumption (250 kW), allows for a significant reduction in operating costs.
3. Ease of management.
4. High reliability due to the perfect design, the use of the original screw block lubrication system, soft start system, cold start system, etc.

DALGAKIRAN products have proven themselves well at the customer’s production facility. According to O.V. Ochkur, Chief Power Engineer of Turboatom, there have been no serious problems with the equipment over the 5 years of operation. It has consistently provided consumers with compressed air with the required parameters. Reliable operation of DVK 340DD compressors was also facilitated by high-quality service, which was carried out by the service engineers of the Kharkiv branch of Dalgakiran Compressor Ukraine.

Taking into account the positive experience of operating Dalgakiran DVK 340DD compressors, Turboatom signed a contract with our company for the supply of three even more advanced INVERSYS 250 PLUS compressors, which implement frequency control of the electric drive power and have a heat energy recovery system (an additional energy source for the company’s heating and water supply systems). This helps to further reduce operating costs, which is one of the priorities of modern enterprises, as energy consumption is the main variable in the total cost of ownership of compressor equipment. Since electricity consumption typically accounts for more than 80% of the total cost of ownership of a compressor over its life cycle, energy savings in compressed air systems will have a significant impact on preserving not only the environment but also the company’s bottom line.
