Diesel generator for backup power supply of a kindergarten in Odesa

In 2020, the development company IMP Group LLC completed the construction of a new modern kindergarten in the city of Odesa. To solve the potential problems of power outages due to accidents, overloads, weather and other conditions, it was conditionally decided to purchase and install a diesel generator. A backup power supply is all the more necessary in children’s institutions, as teachers and pupils cannot be left without heating or hot water in winter.

For the kindergarten, the customer chose a premium diesel generator – Cummins C170D5 (170 kVA / 136 kW). This equipment can be used:

1. As a backup source of power supply. In the event of a power outage, the generator starts automatically with full load in one step.
2. For continuous (autonomous) power supply to all users of the kindergarten. The Cummins C170D5 power plant was selected with a power reserve and is capable of operating non-stop around the clock, stopping only for scheduled maintenance.

The main components of the equipment are: a 5.9-liter Cummins 6BTA industrial diesel engine, a brushless alternator, normal and heavy duty air filters, oil filters, and a 12 V battery. Operating fuel consumption is up to 35 liters per hour. The power plant is controlled using the convenient Power Command panel.

This device is completely safe and designed according to the ISO9001 quality standard. It is also CE certified and complies with the 2000/14/EC noise standard.
