DALGAKIRAN diesel power plant with a capacity of 2500 kVA and a voltage of 6.3 kV for the largest plywood producer in Ukraine

ODEK Ukraine is the largest plywood producer in Ukraine. The company produces 90 thousand cubic meters of plywood annually, which is approximately 50% of all plywood produced in the country. In addition, ODEK is among the twenty largest producers of birch plywood in Europe. The scale of the company’s production is impressive: the company employs 1700 specialists who use modern equipment from leading manufacturers and has its own infrastructure, including two industrial-class boiler houses.
As a result of the war and the bombing of critical infrastructure, Ukrainian enterprises have faced a new challenge – to ensure uninterrupted power supply to their own production facilities. ODEK Ukraine was no exception, and it was decided to ensure the uninterrupted operation of its production cycle with the help of a high-voltage diesel power plant DALGAKIRAN DJ2500MS with a backup capacity of 2000 kW and a voltage of 6300 V – an individually developed solution by Dalgakiran specialists, according to the production needs and requirements of the Customer.
The power plant is based on a 16-cylinder V-shaped Mitsubishi diesel engine with a volume of 79.9 liters and a power of 2905 hp. At maximum load, fuel consumption is 400 liters per hour. The engine has a liquid cooling system and automatic heating for starting and stable operation at low temperatures.
The electrical part of the station includes a 3-phase, 4-pole Mecc-Alte brushless alternator with an electronic voltage regulator (6.3 kV), an electrical cabinet with an ABB high-voltage switch and starter batteries with automatic recharging. The fuel tank of the DJ2500MS generator has a volume of 3000 liters and is equipped with an automatic fuel filling system.
The generator operation is controlled by an integrated automation system with a control panel and automatic transfer switch. The system automatically checks the availability of the power grid and starts the generator when necessary.
The power plant is mounted in an all-weather noise-absorbing container individually designed by Dalgakiran and has an external industrial silencer. This ensures a low noise level of no more than 75 dB at a distance of 7 meters.
