Dalgakiran compressor at the Barsky Machine-Building Plant
Today, the plant occupies a worthy place among domestic machine-building enterprises that produce high-quality and inexpensive equipment for the canning, winemaking, alcoholic beverage, beer and non-alcoholic beverage, oil and fat, and confectionery industries.
The equipment created by the designers and engineers of Barsky Machine-Building Plant is in steady demand on the market due to its reliability and high technical characteristics. Today, the company has about 2500 customers. A well-balanced technical and marketing policy, along with the high quality of its equipment, allows the company to export up to 30% of its total output.
Last but not least, the quality of the products is determined by the company’s modern and well-balanced technical fleet. Six workshops and fourteen departments of the Barsky Machine-Building Plant have 655 machines and mechanisms that allow them to perform almost any operation required in mechanical engineering. These include casting, powder metallurgy, stamping, various types of welding, fabrication of rubber goods, electroplating, painting, woodworking and heat treatment.
Compressed air energy is used in almost all areas of production. As practice has shown, pneumatically driven tools are significantly superior in terms of service life and energy efficiency to similar electrically driven devices. And many technological processes do not allow to do without powerful and economical compressors at all. Hammer and die drives, pneumatic clamps, sandblasting chambers, tamping, drying and painting chambers require thousands of cubic meters of compressed air to operate efficiently.
According to Alexander Mikhailovich Lototsky, Chief Engineer of the enterprise, when modernizing the centralized compressed air supply system, the engineers of the Barsky Machine-Building Plant decided to replace the old reciprocating compressors with more reliable screw compressors. After considering a number of options, they opted for DALGAKIRAN units, which enjoy a well-deserved reputation in the market for reliability, performance and reasonable cost. Today, the company has two compressors with direct drives: “DVK 125D, capable of delivering up to 16.2m3/min, and Inversys 132 Plus, delivering up to 20m3/min. Compressors maintain the pressure in the system: 7.5 bar. The capacity of these compressors more than meets the plant’s compressed air needs.
In terms of reliability, screw compressors are significantly superior to reciprocating compressors, with a long guaranteed motor life per screw pair. An additional advantage is the air cooling of the units.
The main reason for compressor shutdowns is the scheduled replacement of bearings that have reached the end of their service life. Thanks to the well-established interaction and timely service provided by the regional representative office of DALGAKIRAN, the prevention and repair of compressor equipment takes place in the shortest possible time.
Currently, thanks to the new compressor equipment, the company has no problems supplying the plant’s production facilities with the much-needed compressed air.
