Backup diesel generator DALGAKIRAN for Rokytnyanska Multidisciplinary Hospital

“Rokytnyanska Multidisciplinary Hospital, located in the Bila Tserkva district of Kyiv region, has surgical, therapeutic, infectious disease, dental, neurological, gynecological, pediatric and other departments. It is equipped with modern medical equipment and devices. To ensure the operation of hospital equipment, a high-quality power supply system is required. While a short-term power outage will not cause significant damage to many other institutions (such as education or catering), problems with the power supply in a hospital can threaten the lives and health of patients. Therefore, it is important to organize not only a reliable main power supply, but also a backup power supply in healthcare facilities.

In order to ensure uninterrupted power supply, the management of Rokytnyanska BC decided to install a new power generator. The backup power supply project was successfully implemented by Dalgakiran Compressor Ukraine LLC. The company’s specialists selected, supplied, installed and commissioned a Dalgakiran DJ154BD diesel generator.

The power plant’s backup capacity is 154 kVA, while the main capacity is 140 kVA. The nominal capacity of the diesel generator set is 20-30% higher than the total power consumption of all the hospital’s electrical appliances, so the power plant can easily cover the RCH’s electricity needs.

The “heart” of Dalgakiran DJ154BD is a 6.75-liter Baudouin diesel engine (France) with a capacity of 190 hp. At 75% load, the generator consumes 23.1 liters of fuel per hour, which is one of the best indicators among power plants of this class. In addition, the engine meets all the necessary quality standards (IATF 16949, OHSAS 18001, ISO 9001 and 14001).

It is very important for medical facilities to restore power automatically, without human intervention. That is why the diesel power plant has an automatic backup. When the voltage in the main grid is lost, the ATS automatically starts the generator and shuts it down when the power is restored.

Another requirement for a diesel generator is a low noise level. Therefore, the Dalgakiran DJ154BD has a special sound-absorbing casing.
