Blowers for Volyn-Cement

Public Joint Stock Company Volyn-Cement (formerly Zdolbuniv Cement and Slate Plant) is part of the management company Dyckerhoff AG. The plant was designed as an enterprise with a production capacity of about 2 million tons of cement per year. “Volyn-Cement has always been one of the leaders in the Ukrainian cement industry in terms of product quality and production volumes.

Cement production requires special containers for storing it – cement silos. Cement, like any other finely dispersed material, tends to cure. This makes it difficult to unload cement from the silo using only the force of gravity. To break up the cement in the silo, nozzles of the aeration system are installed on the lower part of the body, which are supplied with compressed air. The compressed air supplied by the blower aerates the cement and causes it to move in the direction of the cement feed opening.

Old claw blowers with over 90% physical wear were installed in the production lines. When choosing a blower supplier, the main criteria were high service life, reasonable price/quality ratio, and the availability of a high-quality after-sales service in Ukraine.

In December 2013, PJSC Volyn-Cement purchased and installed two original EL 35/2P blowers manufactured by the Italian company ROBUSCHI. The quality of Italian assembly guarantees a high service life of about 100 thousand hours of operation. Blowers of this company are simple and cheap in operation, do not require constant presence of service personnel.

In addition to ROBUSCHI blowers, Volyn-Cement PJSC operates DALGAKIRAN compressors. The company has concluded a service agreement for the maintenance of compressor equipment. The availability of consumables and spare parts, as well as prompt response 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, guarantee reliable and durable operation.
