Thermally insulating energy-saving covers for extrusion equipment
Injection molding machines and extruders are key equipment for plastics processing and in the process of operation they generate a large amount of heat energy, which is necessary to maintain the normal condition of the equipment parts and components. Conservation of thermal energy is an important task in the production of products from polymeric materials. Thermal insulation covers are used to preserve heat energy from injection molding machines and extruders.
What is an insulating cover?
Thermal insulation mats are used to insulate the injection molding cylinders and extruder, i.e. the components that generate the most heat. They are made of many layers of heat-insulating fabrics that are resistant to high temperatures. One of the inner layers is an aerogel, the thermal insulation coefficient of which is several times higher than that of technical wool with a much smaller material thickness. The simple design makes thermal insulation covers a versatile material: they can be used for various elements of extrusion equipment.
Advantages of thermal insulation covers
In the production of plastic products on injection molding machines, their working parts (cylinders) are brought to the melting and plasticization temperature of the material, which is transmitted to the walls of the unit and then dissipated in the atmosphere. To reduce the cost of electricity consumption for extrusion units, Dalgakiran Compressor Ukraine offers the use of thermal insulation mats that provide:
- energy savings in the operation of injection molding machines up to 35% compared to non-insulated equipment;
- extending the service life of heaters by reducing the number of heating cycles to obtain the required state of the polymer mass;
- creating a comfortable working environment by reducing the surface temperature of the insulated part of the machine;
- safety when working with molding units, eliminating the risk of burns from hot machine parts;
- Reducing dust in the workplace by reducing heat radiation from the machine.
