Successful launch of DALGAKIRAN DVK 220D W compressors within the framework of the project on modernization of compressor equipment at KhNPP

In 2020, as part of the project to modernize the compressor equipment of the NPP’s chemical shop and the planned increase in compressed air demand by other units of the nuclear power plant, two modern DALGAKIRAN DVK 220D W screw compressor stations with a capacity of 25m3/min each were delivered and launched. As a result of the launch of the new equipment, the total capacity of the station-wide compressor station (SWCS), consisting of five compressors, increased to 155m3/min. This amount of compressed air will improve the reliability of the compressor station and will be used in the future for the radioactive waste treatment facility being built at the KhNPP industrial site and for the completion of the construction of the third and fourth power units.
DALGAKIRAN DVK 220D W are modern oil-filled, direct-drive, single-stage, water-cooled screw compressors. Additionally, they are equipped with a light and noise alarm and a cooling water supply control system. The design of the compressors fully complies with EN 1012, EN 286 and Energoatom’s internal standards.
The equipment was delivered within the terms specified in the contract, successfully passed all tests and is being used at the KhNPP site. The delivery was carried out jointly with a partner, the Bulgarian company Nyutek Engineering.
Khmelnytsky Nuclear Power Plant, a separate subdivision of Energoatom, recommends NUTEK ENGINEERING Ltd. as a reliable and professional partner in the supply of equipment for NPP needs, and DALGAKIRAN Makina Sanai Ve Ticaret Anonim Sirketi (Turkey) as a reliable and professional manufacturer of industrial compressor equipment.
