Sparkling gold of Zolotaya Balka

“Zolota Balka is one of the oldest domestic sparkling wine producers and a flagship of modern winemaking technologies. The plant’s business card is sparkling wines, which are distinguished by a delicate aroma of rose petals and a rich taste of exotic fruits. A unique bouquet is obtained due to a special production technology – wine fermentation in acratophores, which allows preserving the aroma of grapes and freshness of wine. Strict adherence to the intricacies of the technology is especially important when producing wine from nutmeg grape varieties. It is these brands of sparkling wines that have earned Zolotaya Balka the world’s reputation as an excellent winery. The complex process of wine production is completed by bottling. Currently, 560 thousand bottles are produced monthly using the acratophore technology.

When the management of Zolota Balka decided to reconstruct the bottling line, the winemakers turned to the specialists of Dalgakiran Compressor Ukraine. As a result, the old piston equipment was replaced by a single powerful screw compressor with an INVERSYS 30 frequency converter, which not only allowed the company to operate without a backup unit, but also proved to be quite economical. Whereas the old equipment required service after 500 hours of operation, the new compressor requires service after 2000 hours of operation. The minimal residual oil content in the compressed air stream helps to maintain the operating properties of the process equipment, and the possibility of recovery – the use of air heated by the compressor for heating – further reduces production utility costs. The low noise level (below 70 dB) and vibration contributed to preserving the qualities of the wine, which, according to the winemakers, “loves peace”. This means that the unique bouquet of Zolota Balka muscat wines will be preserved. It will delight consumers and will be appreciated by international experts who are connoisseurs of fine wines.

The efforts of Dalgakiran Compressor Ukraine specialists to re-equip the production facilities have already been highly appreciated by Zolotaya Balka’s management. The plant director noted the high quality of the equipment and the good work of the supplier’s specialists.
