Diesel generators for boiler houses on pellets

As part of the winning tender, the company Nicotherm (Mykolaiv) installed and commissioned two pellet boilers to heat the production and residential premises of the Mykolaiv Aircraft Repair Plant NARP, one of the oldest enterprises in the city.

In the realities of modern Ukraine, pellet boilers are one of the most optimal heating options. Pellets are a type of solid fuel in the form of pellets (5-10 mm) made from pressed waste from woodworking and agricultural production. They have a high calorific value and take up little space. Pellet boilers are well mechanized and automated. Thanks to this, such heating equipment is close to gas boilers in terms of ease of use, surpassing them in terms of efficiency.

But this convenience also has a downside. In the event of a power outage in such a boiler, the supply of pellets to the boiler, the removal of combustion products will stop, and the automation will stop working. But if a gas boiler automatically shuts off the gas and the boiler stops, then in a pellet boiler, the fuel will continue to burn, only in an uncontrolled mode. This will surely lead to an emergency situation and the failure of expensive equipment. To prevent this from happening, such units require an emergency power supply.

Nicotherm Private Joint Stock Company signed an agreement with our company Dalgakiran Compressor Ukraine, under which we supplied each boiler house with one DALGAKIRAN diesel generator of the DJ-CP COOPER series – DJ33CP (rated power 24 kW) and DJ44CP (rated power 28.8 kW) in the hood with automatic transfer switch (automatic backup).

The distinctive features of this equipment are:

• high reliability of operation in the temperature range from -30°C to +50°C;
• long service life;
• high efficiency thanks to the CRDi electronic fuel injection;
• control – manual and automatic start mode;
• high quality of current – its stability in voltage and frequency, which allows these diesel generators to be used to power electronics, including automation of heating boilers.

According to experts, diesel power plants of the DJ-CP COOPER series are among the best in their class as emergency power sources.
