Diesel generator for backup of Globinsky pig farm

Pork production is one of the main areas of national agricultural production in Ukraine. To ensure productive and efficient operation, modern pig farms are equipped with a range of automated equipment, from elevators and feed lines to meat processing and packaging lines. One of the main conditions for the stable operation of this equipment and the pig farm as a whole is an uninterrupted supply of electricity.

At the beginning of 2021, SPE Globinsky Pig Complex LLC, part of the Globino Group of Companies, announced a tender for the supply of a diesel generator station with a rated capacity of 200 kW. Among the requirements, the most important for the Customer were:

• compliance of the diesel generator ‘s characteristics with the stated requirements;
• availability of a power plant in stock in Ukraine;
• the presence of a service department in the closest proximity to the enterprise;
• delivery and commissioning are included in the price of the diesel generator;
• attractive price.

As a result of the tender, among several options, the Customer chose the proposal of Dalgakiran Compressor Ukraine LLC, namely the DALGAKIRAN DJ293BD diesel power plant in a noise-absorbing all-weather casing with an ATS (automatic transfer switch).

This station is based on a Baudouin engine (France) and a Crompton Graves alternator (India). The nominal power in constant operation is 212 kW (266 kVA), in standby mode – 235 kW (293 kVA). Fuel consumption is quite low for such power (42.2 l/h at 75% load) and the 385-liter fuel tank allows the power plant to operate for more than 9 hours without refueling. And in case of prolonged power outages and accidents in the power grid, the DALGAKIRAN DJ293BD power plant is able to operate around the clock thanks to the high quality of the engine, which has been tested by time at many Ukrainian enterprises.

Technical specialists of Dalgakiran Compressor Ukraine successfully delivered, installed and connected the equipment, carried out commissioning and training of the Customer’s personnel in the operation of the power plant.

Thanks to the location of the Dalgakiran service unit in close proximity to the Globinsky pig farm (Poltava region), the customer can be sure of the uninterrupted operation of the equipment and its timely maintenance.
