Areas of application of 40 kW DES

For domestic needs, a 40 kW diesel generator is rarely used, a cottage consumes such power very rarely, and 40 kW is no longer enough for the emergency reserve of an apartment building.

But for solving the problem of power supply for commercial facilities, this is an excellent option. You can use a 40 kilowatt generator in the following areas:

• construction – construction cannot be postponed while waiting for the power line to be laid, the substation to be built and all legal procedures to be completed;
• trade – emergency reserve for refrigerators, alarms, video surveillance and cash registers;
• Service stations and workshops;
• offices of small and medium-sized companies – business process continuity in any conditions;
• education – our company has already had experience in supplying generators for kindergartens;
• medical institutions – an intensive care unit, intensive care unit or operating room requires uninterrupted power supply and a generator with an ATS is vital.

Diesel power plants are often used at outdoor events. For example, they provide power for various festivals, fairs, outdoor concerts, and various political rallies. In practice, 40 kW SPPs with ATS have no alternatives for the above applications. Gas-fired plants are not practical due to the specifics of fuel storage. Gasoline generators have significant power limitations and can only compete with the lowest-power generators in all respects. Small solar and wind power plants have a pronounced link to the weather and time of day, they are simply not intended for emergency reserve, their task is to generate power and transmit it to the grid. A large battery station has an exorbitant cost, wear rate and size – it is a niche solution for critical infrastructure facilities.

Installation of outdoor power plants

The 40 kW diesel power plant should be placed in the most protected environment possible so that external factors cannot affect its performance. When installing, sufficient space should be provided around the generator. Protection against:

• snow, rain, strong gusts of wind, it is also necessary to protect the device from direct sunlight, which can lead to overheating;
• dust, steam, smoke, which the ventilation system cannot handle;
• mechanical damage;
• access by unqualified persons – only specialists should interfere with the generator.

All of these requirements are met by the manufacturer’s use of enclosures (housings) – they allow the generator to be placed in an open area and operated all year round. It is not uncommon in Ukraine to find a Dalgakiran diesel generator installed for backup power supply in an open area at a gas station. This is the most obvious and simple example of the quality of our equipment and its technical capabilities – to serve as a reliable source of backup power supply 360 days a year.
