Robox Turbo Series Blowers

Radial blowers, or turbo blowers, do have several important advantages that make them beneficial for use in wastewater treatment plants, particularly in aeration processes. They reduce energy consumption by using air bearings, which reduce friction and wear on parts. This technology, which is commonly used in jet engines, contributes to increased efficiency and durability of the equipment.

In addition, due to their design, these blowers can operate at high speeds and deliver high airflow levels with lower power consumption. This makes them very attractive for applications where energy savings are important, such as in aeration systems for water treatment.

The turbo blowers are capable of delivering air output of up to 26,500 m3/h and operating pressure of up to 1.5 bar.

Air part (turbine)

• Dynamic centrifugal blower for oil-free ambient air
• Single or twin cast impellers with 5-axis dynamic balancing, made
  of cast aluminum AL7075-T651
• Housing with an integrated air cooling system consisting of the middle
  part and the impeller spiral, made of cast aluminum AC4C -T6

Drive shaft

• Manufactured and machined from SUS420-JS stainless steel in versions with one or two
  impellers, supported by two multi-rib air bearings.

Multilayer air bearings

• The bearing units of the drive have multi-rib air bearings and an aerodynamic
  design.
• The combined bearing is designed to withstand both radial and axial
  loads and is made of Inconel X-750 alloy.
• With a protective and anti-abrasive 2-stage Teflon coating.
• Excellent stability at both high and low speeds, as well as self-positioning
• 100% oil-free design

Check valve

• A check valve mounted on the exhaust muffler prevents the blower from reversing
  rotation when working with multiple blowers.
• Made of powder-coated stainless steel
• Single-axle butter-fly design
• Designed for operation at a temperature of >200 0C
• Available as “disk insert” or flanged version – DIN 150-500

Safety valve B.O.V.

• Integrated safety valve with rubber diaphragm and stainless steel spring
• Electro-pneumatic with external silencer
• Required to equalize the pressure in the system when starting/stopping the blower
• Has a safe operation function in case of excessive pressure in the system
• The valve is controlled by the blower’s PLC/HMI controller with the ability to adjust
  parameters up to 10%.

  spunbonded (nonwoven) material

Soundproofing cover

• Soundproof enclosure, modular design, consisting of independent electrical and
  mechanical sections. Made of galvanized hot-rolled SS400 steel. Insulated with
  non-woven fire-resistant basalt wool fiber (ISO 3795).
