Participation of the DALGAKIRAN team in the European Watercraft Cup final

On September 21-23, 2018, Gomel hosted the European Watercraft Cup final. The competition was attended by 54 athletes from Ukraine, Belarus and Russia, making it the most massive competition in Belarus over the past 20 years.

This time, our DALGAKIRAN team united with other athletes from Ukraine to form the Ukrainian national team, which was represented by 15 participants.

The competitions were held in 12 classes of courts, in 6 of which athletes from Ukraine took 1st place, as well as 3 third and 2 second places. Thus, the Ukrainian team won a confident victory!

Thanks to the good location of the reservoir in the heart of the city, next to the Water Sports Palace (Gomel), the competition was attended not only by athletes, but also by many guests and residents of the city. As a result of the athletes’ struggle on the course, guests and spectators enjoyed the intense struggle during the races.

For example, in one of the races, Oleksandr Fedorenko, an athlete from Kyiv and a member of the DALGAKIRAN team, lost control of his boat and overturned during the race. The pilot was not injured, he got off with a slight scare, which cannot be said about the boat and engine, as well as the lost first place in the 10-mile race. Hitting the water at 90-100 km/h is equivalent to falling from a height of 5-6 meters to the asphalt.

The DALGAKIRAN team, on behalf of its coach Andriy Berezin, expresses its gratitude to the company’s management for their understanding and support in the development of water-motor sports.
