Kyiv caught fire with the fire of Anatolia

The show “Troy”, presented on the Kyiv stage by the famous Turkish group “Lights of Anatolia”, was not like the previous performances of the group. “We are constantly modernizing the production, complicating the choreography and introducing new elements of the show. Each country performs the show a little differently,” said the famous choreographer Mustafa Edorgan. The creator of the play recalled that while working on the production, they studied the Greek texts of Homer to feel the spirit of that era.

Seven years of touring could not dampen the intensity of the artists’ emotions. Breathlessly, the audience empathized with the ancient heroes of Troy. They saw the stories of the beautiful Helen and Paris, the fearless Hector and the loving Andromache, the insightful Cassandra and the indomitable Achilles. Following the seductive beauties, the audience plunged into the mysterious world of the ancient East full of temptations, dangers and secrets. Looking at the sparks from the dancers’ swords, they marveled at the courage and agility of the proud warriors. The color of the music and the splendor of the scenery made them forget that everything that was happening was just a skillful performance. The action reached its climax with the appearance of the Trojan horse. The magnificence of the costumes and the competent staging of the show turned the evening of acquaintance of Kyiv residents with the world masterpiece from the Turkish group “Lights of Anatolia” into an unforgettable event.
It is noteworthy that the “Lights of Anatolia” dance team holds two Guinness World Records: for the fastest dance performance with 241 dance steps per minute and for the largest audience of 400,000 spectators who gathered for the show in Ereğli. From the beginning of the production to the present day, the Turkish show has been watched by more than 20 million viewers in 85 countries. The spring performance in Kyiv added to the ranks of the “Anatolian Lights” fans. Among them are representatives of the Dalgakiran company. Although the performance of the troupe in Kyiv does not claim to be a world record in terms of the number of fans of oriental artists, the warm welcome and emotional uplift of Ukrainians will be remembered by the dancers for a long time. We are proud that our company’s efforts contributed to the overwhelming success of the Turkish show on Ukrainian soil – Dalgakiran Compressor Ukraine was one of the sponsors of the evening.
