Dalgakiran Compressor Ukraine at ENERGOTECH conference: results and key insights

On February 6, the ENERGOTECH conference dedicated to the implementation and operation of cogeneration units (CGUs) was held. Oleksandr Popov, Head of Integrated Solutions Department at Dalgakiran Compressor Ukraine, made a presentation on “Cogeneration: an innovative way to energy efficiency and sustainable business development”.

What did you discuss?

The conference became a platform for the exchange of experience between companies that already operate cogeneration plants and those who are just planning to implement them. The main topics included:

✔ How to start the implementation of the CGU and what pitfalls can arise?

✔ How to calculate the capacity of the plant according to the needs of the enterprise?

✔ What difficulties may arise when connecting a CCGT to the GTS?

✔ How to organize maintenance properly and what are the costs?

✔ What additional costs should be considered (infrastructure, permits, installation)?

✔ Is it possible to modernize the CCGT to run on alternative fuels, including hydrogen?

The main conclusion:

Cogeneration is not just a trend, but an effective solution for optimizing costs, reducing energy dependence and increasing the productivity of enterprises. Through the discussion of real-world experience of companies, the participants received practical recommendations on the implementation and operation of CCGT.
