Eraco KSI Series Thermostats

Maintaining a stable temperature is crucial for the operation of plastic mold production lines. The production process requires high precision in maintaining parameters, especially with high temperatures during the molding phase. This is exactly what Eraco’s KSI series water-cooled temperature controllers are designed for.
If the thermostat cannot maintain the temperature required by the technology, then the entire batch will have defects such as surface irregularities and air bubbles in the plastic. At the first stage, the plastic mass must be hot enough to fill the mold during injection. After that, it must quickly solidify until it is ready. The Eraco KSI temperature controllers control the supply of heat and cold during these stages with a group of automatic valves, automatically determining the output.

• The maximum outlet water temperature is up to 90 oC;
• ± 0.5 oC Temperature sensitivity controlled by a PID controller;
• Heat output from 6 to 24 kW;
• The heating element is made of stainless steel;
• Cooling from 26 to 32 kW;
• Corrosion-resistant copper tubes;
• PLC control system with 7-inch touch screen LCD;
• The release of clean water through the use of filter elements;
• Electronic water level control.

Integration

Eraco KSI can exchange data with different systems and is controlled from a single point.
Depending on the customer’s needs, all modern protocols for remote monitoring and control can be optionally supported – Modbus RS-485, ModbusTCP/IP, ModbusRTU, BACnet MSTP, BACnet IP, LonWorks FTT10, CANbus and others.
The design of the thermostat allows it to be supplemented with options required by the customer, and thus expand the scope of application, creating cooling systems of more complex configurations.
