“Dalgakiran Compressor Ukraine represents NIBA modular cooling towers. NIBA was founded in 1993 as part of the CENK group of companies for the production and construction of cooling towers.
NIBA’s modular cooling towers are developed with an advanced design to ensure an optimal cooling process. The in-house production allows the manufacturer to use the best materials, paying attention to the smallest details, which meets the immediate requirements of customers.
The main supporting structures of the cooling towers, cladding, water distribution system, basin and diffusers are made of GRP material, a fiberglass material that is resistant to corrosion, UV and is very durable in operation.
NIBA is a full member of CTI (Cooling Tower Institute), USA – International Association of Cooling Technologies, and a member of the Turkish Association of Cooling Technologies ISKID – Turkey. “NIBA applies the ISO 9001:2008 quality management system and has DSTU and EU certificates.
The main advantages of GRP fiberglass:
- High specific strength and heat resistance
- Excellent elasticity
- Lightness
- High corrosion resistance
- Excellent dielectric properties
- Excellent dimensional stability
- Design flexibility
- Flexibility of installation (flexibility of production by various methods)
- Does not require maintenance
- No possibility of theft (not valued as scrap)
- Easy to repair
What are GRP and FRP and how do they differ?
GRP is an acronym for Glass Reinforced Polyester, and FRP is an acronym for Fiber Reinforced Polyester. These are two different names for the same substance. NIBA cooling towers are made of glass fiber reinforced polyester (GRP or FRP).
Cooling tower components
NIBA modular cooling towers are developed with an advanced design to ensure an optimal cooling process. The main body, basin and diffuser of the cooling tower are made of fiberglass (polyester reinforced with fiberglass), which is resistant to corrosion and UV, making it durable in operation.
The inner and outer surfaces of the cooling tower are made of “Gel-Coat” material with polyester-based coloring pigments that is resistant to all weather conditions and UV radiation. This material does not fade, does not deform, has an aesthetic appearance and does not require painting. The cooling tower cladding is made using the “Gel-Coat” + fiberglass + polyester sandwich technology.
Fans
Our cooling towers use fans with aluminum blades and silent fans with fiberglass blades. The fan blades are adjustable. The hubs of the fan impellers are made of aluminum or metal alloys.
Irrigators

These polypropylene sprinklers are resistant to temperatures up to 90°C. The sprinklers are practical in operation and easy to clean.

In particular, spray sprinklers are used in polluted and dusty environments, in circulating systems with a high concentration of suspension over 100 ppm, with high water hardness and a significant content of metal oxides. These sprinklers eliminate the possibility of clogging the lumen and are heat-resistant up to 900°C.
Water trap system
The water traps are made of PVC and prevent droplets from being carried away with the air flow in the form of fine dust particles and minimize water loss.
Gearboxes
Two standard types of gearboxes are used in cooling towers. The first is a vertical input-output type, and the second is a horizontal input and vertical output type. The shaft and gears are made of hardened steel. The sleeve is made of a rolling bearing. The body and cover are made of gray cast iron GG20.
Drive shaft
The cooling tower fan drive motor is mounted on the side of the diffuser. A drive shaft is used between the motor and the gearbox mounted under the fan, which is a flexible connection system.
This system provides easy maintenance of the motor, which is desirable for large modular cooling tower models.
Nozzles

The main structure
The casing panels used in the cooling tower construction are made of fiberglass.
Fiberglass profiles have a low specific gravity, strength, corrosion resistance in aggressive environments, and high resistance to ultraviolet radiation. These products are manufactured using the pultrusion method, which is based on the continuous drawing of roving from fiber yarns pre-impregnated with a multicomponent mixture based on binders from various resins, hardeners, fillers and dyes.
In NIBA cooling towers, the supports for sprinklers, water catchers and water distributors, as well as the stairs and service platform, are also made of fiberglass reinforced plastic.
