Purpose and characteristics of drizzlers

Drycoolers, also known as dry cooling towers, are dry liquid coolers used to naturally cool water and non-freezing coolant to the required temperature. The principle of operation of drycoolers is as follows: a pump pumps the water medium through the heat exchanger of the cooler, which is blown by a system of axial fans. The liquid cooled by a drycooler is used in a variety of applications, such as cooling equipment at industrial enterprises, in water recycling systems, for cooling condensers in refrigeration units, for cooling process water, etc. Dry cooling towers (drycoolers) are a more efficient alternative to conventional fan cooling towers, which have many advantages, the main one being the absence of additional tap water consumption during the operation of drycoolers due to the closed circuit that does not require water supply.

All Lu-Ve coolers are designed in accordance with international quality and safety standards, thoroughly tested, and are patent-pending innovative inventions of this Italian brand. Their distinctive characteristics are increased efficiency, effectiveness, high performance in all environmental conditions, no risk of scaling and bacterial contamination of the coolant, and noiselessness. In addition, the intelligent design of Lu-Ve drycoolers provides for easy maintenance and repair – the side panels and fan casing can be removed, providing full access to the motor, coil and junction box.

Some models of Lu-Ve drycoolers have the company’s patented Whisperer® built-in noise reduction, all models are equipped with a fan speed controller and emergency switch, have their own circuits and are selected in accordance with technical requirements, pressure indicators and refrigerant consumption.

The patented and thoroughly tested on vibration supports structure of Lu-Ve dryers with the use of the unique SMART self-monitoring technology (for EHLD – XXLD series) is characterized by a high degree of elasticity and optimal weight, contributes to a more even air distribution, as well as a minimum reduction in dryer performance in the event of an emergency fan stop. The final testing of the equipment is carried out at a certain pressure, after the coils are thoroughly cleaned of oil and dried. All drycoolers have a maximum pressure of 12 bar.

Special attention in the Lu-Ve drycooler design is paid to the heat exchanger, whose outstanding efficiency is due to the perfect combination of copper pipes and special aluminum plates. The advantages of such heat exchangers are obvious: high efficiency with a small amount of air; almost silent operation.

Equally important is Lu-Ve’s patented SAFETUBES SYSTEM® heat exchanger battery fixing system, which guarantees reliable and absolute protection of the working tubes during operation of the liquid cooler, its installation or transportation.

The low noise level during operation of Lu-Ve drycoolers as well as a high degree of protection against air recirculation is ensured by the revolutionary design of the fan casing, and the design of its protective grilles complies with all existing safety regulations and guarantees maximum protection.

Lu-Ve Contardo pays great attention to the quality and reliability of materials and the technical design of its products: the shell of the driquillas is made of galvanized steel coated with epoxy-polyester powder paint with high anti-corrosion performance.
