Heat recovery options for even greater savings
A large amount of heat is generated in the compressor during air compression. Much of the heat is recovered by means of a suitable oil-water heat exchanger installed at the outlet of the compressor oil tank. The hot water produced by the heat recovery can be used in many areas of your plant. By directing the hot air coming out of the compressor, you can heat the room when it is needed or supply hot air to the outside using a thermostat to match seasonal changes. This saves on heating and natural gas costs. Up to 80% of the compressor’s total energy consumption can be recovered.
