Air Cooling Chillers

As part of the circulation cycle, the coolant also passes through an expansion valve (or valve), then enters the chiller evaporator, where, after pre-cooling the ambient air, it is heated and converted to gas (sometimes mixed with oil), and finally enters the compressor (or vapor compression) unit, where it condenses into a liquid under pressure.

This approach to air conditioning is often used when alternative methods are less efficient. In addition, unlike fully water-cooled chillers, these models are used even when the humidity level is insufficient, as the air itself is the source of heat.
