What does the system consist of?

• Pipeline network. Ensures coolant circulation between the chiller and fan coils.

The system is simple: the chiller cools the coolant, which is then distributed to the fan coils. Inside the fan coil units, heat is exchanged between the cooled coolant and the air in the room. The air temperature is controlled by changing the fan speed in the fan coil.

System design options

Chillers can be monoblocks – compact devices that can be installed on the roof or near the building – or with a remote condenser, which provide more options for choosing a location for the equipment.

To reduce costs, logistics centers often use direct evaporative coolers of various capacities instead of chiller-fan coil systems. These devices cool the air by evaporating refrigerant inside the heat exchanger tubes. During operation, moisture from the air settles on the surface of the heat exchanger and is removed through a drainage hole.
