Fan cooling towers
Applications: oil, metallurgy, light, food, chemical industries, power generation, air conditioning systems.
Cenk manufactures wet fan cooling towers made of fiberglass, reinforced concrete, galvanized steel and stainless steel, operating on the counterflow and crossflow principle. In these cooling towers, the hot water distribution system is made of fiberglass or PVC, the drip traps are made of fiberglass or PVC, and the film-type sprinklers are made of PVC or spray-type sprinklers made of PP (polypropylene).
The fan rotation in cooling towers is based on the gearbox-drive shaft-motor scheme. In this case, the motor, being outside the diffuser, is protected from the flow of moist air. Fans are manufactured with adjustable blades made of aluminum alloy or fiberglass (glass fiber reinforced polyester). In addition, the cooling tower is equipped with a safety vibration switch.
CENK’s most widely used cooling towers are counterflow fan cooling towers made of fiberglass. Fiberglass counterflow cooling towers have the following advantages:
- high performance;
- higher reliability and durability of operation compared to concrete and metal cooling towers;
- corrosion resistance;
- insensitivity to weathering;
- the ability to operate in aggressive environments due to the use of durable polymers in the production;

Cooling towers with natural draft
Dry cooling towers with natural draft
Application: places and objects where there is a water shortage.
In order to maximize water savings and avoid water loss in the process of water vapor formation in tower cooling towers, industrial enterprises, plants and factories actively use dry natural draft cooling towers, in which the working fluid moves inside the closed space of the heat exchanger pipes, which is blown by air. At the same time, the water is cooled and then returned to the new process cycle. CENK develops and manufactures dry cooling towers of horizontal, vertical and V-shaped design. To protect the heat exchanger made of copper or steel tubes, steel or aluminum gusseted sheet is used.
Evaporative cooling towers
Application: industrial facilities and thermal power plants with a large volume of cooling water.
The main advantages of evaporative cooling towers are: high efficiency; zero electricity costs due to the absence of a drive and fan; quick payback of equipment; simple design (the main part is the water distribution system, sprinklers and drip traps), relatively inexpensive to install and maintain.
Tower fan cooling towers
Application: industrial facilities with medium to large volumes of cooled water.
Stable cooling of the water environment in warm and hot seasons, relatively low initial costs due to the low required height of the cooling tower, and lower electricity costs compared to mechanical cooling towers – this is a short list of the advantages that make fan cooling towers widely used in a wide variety of industrial sectors.
Closed type cooling towers
Cooling towers of closed type with radial/axial fans
Application: cooling and ventilation systems used in various industrial sectors.
In closed-circuit cooling towers with radial/axial fans, the cooled water circulates in the closed space of the heat exchanger tubes, which results in a heat exchange process. The working fluid flows from the cooling tower bowl to the radiator via a pumping unit and transfers heat to the air by washing it. Radial/axial fans create the necessary air flow in the cooling tower interior. The advantages of this type of cooling tower are as follows: no contact between air and the working fluid medium; no risk of fluid contamination due to the tightness of the fans; resistance to adverse weather conditions; durability and reliability; increased efficiency; no noise and vibration; and economical maintenance.
Hybrid cooling towers of closed type
Applications: metallurgical, chemical, pulp and paper, and food industries.
Hybrid closed-type cooling towers combine the advantages of dry and closed-type cooling towers, they are designed for efficient cooling of liquid, which provides for its maximum economy and prevents the formation of fog. The distinctive advantages of closed-type hybrid cooling towers are: water savings of up to 70%; high profitability; high performance; no need for water treatment; and the ability to operate in dry mode in winter.
