Systems for centralized supply of polymeric raw materials to equipment
Modern plastics manufacturing plants are complex complexes designed to process large volumes of recycled polymer raw materials. The internal logistics of such an enterprise includes many stages of moving and preparing the source material: unloading, storage, drying, and feeding to the equipment. The introduction of centralized systems for loading, distributing and feeding polymeric raw materials helps to make these processes convenient, fast and efficient.
Systems for supplying polymeric material to equipment
Industrial manufacturing of plastic products requires minimizing human involvement in the production process and increasing automation to reduce rejects due to human error and, as a result, improve product quality. In the field of polymer material loading, centralized loading systems (CLS) help to optimize production processes by providing:
- minimizing the loss of feedstock during transportation by using vacuum pumps and filter systems;
- the ability to control and adjust the process of feeding polymer raw materials into the extruder of the devices;
- eliminate the possibility of foreign elements getting into the raw material during its movement.
The use of a centralized processing plant is advisable for large enterprises where it is important to simultaneously or promptly supply prepared polymer raw materials to five or more units of equipment, as well as in technological processes that use more than five types of materials. The degree of feasibility of using a centralized processing plant depends on the type of production and the products manufactured, but in any case, it saves production space, reduces the cost of finished products and optimizes labor costs.
Systems for centralized supply of polymeric raw materials to equipment with delivery, commissioning and start-up, taking into account the technological conditions of the customer’s production, are of two types:
- for pellets;
- for PVC powder mixtures.
They allow you to build flexible feeding and dosing systems for a large number of extrusion lines.
