“Iron for miners

Coal/Mining is one of Europe’s largest and oldest mining equipment exhibitions. It has been held in the capital of Donbass every two years since 1983. This year’s exhibition was not limited to the narrow specialization of one mining and processing industry. The forum in Donetsk was attended by representatives of metallurgical, machine-building, coke and chemical, enrichment, thermal power plants, quarries, chemical, repair and mechanical, construction and other enterprises. As in previous years, the geography of visitors was not limited to Ukrainian industrialists. The stands of producers from Poland, the Czech Republic, Germany, Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan were also on display. At the same time, Oleksandr Cherkasov from Dalgakiran’s Donetsk office noted that in addition to production specialists, there were many students who were getting acquainted with the equipment and technologies of the mining and mining processing industries.

Many exhibitors used their booth as a good platform for business negotiations with potential customers and partners. It was a good opportunity not only to demonstrate the capabilities of their machines, but also to establish useful contacts and acquaintances in an informal setting. However, many suppliers of the Ukrainian industrial equipment market did not participate in this year’s forum. Some could not afford to participate, while others decided that consumers already knew about them. However, global experience shows the opposite. Manufacturers should meet industrial enterprises halfway and showcase their products at all possible venues. This is the only way to win the loyalty of manufacturers and introduce them to new hardware and technological solutions in their equipment. In addition, participation in the exhibition is a confirmation of the company’s financial stability and serious attitude to the development of its business.
