First Turkish-Ukrainian-Japanese Business Forum

On September 21, 2023, the first Turkish-Ukrainian-Japanese Business Forum was held in Istanbul. The event was organized by the Turkish-Ukrainian Business Council in cooperation with the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Embassies of Ukraine and Japan in the Republic of Turkey.

This event was preceded by the signing of a declaration in Istanbul by the Ministers of Trade of Japan and Turkey, Nishimura Yasutoshi and Omer Bolat, on joint participation in the postwar reconstruction of Ukraine.

Turkish Minister of Trade Omer Bolat characterized the objectives of the business forum as follows:

“Our main goal is to create synergies and implement important projects by combining the entrepreneurial skills of Turkish contractors and local market knowledge with the financial capabilities and technology of Japan.”

The business forum included 5 panel discussions on the following topics: “Specifics of Business in Ukraine”, “Investment and Development”, “Energy Infrastructure and Renewable Energy”, “Infrastructure, Transport and Construction”, “Specifics of Business in the Trilateral Format”.

The forum was attended by 150 representatives of government agencies and companies, including Dalgakiran Compressor Ukraine.

In the discussion “Energy Infrastructure and Renewable Energy Sources”, our company was represented by Yevhen Yanin, Head of Generator Equipment.

During his speech, he shared the company’s experience in working with the telecommunications, energy, agriculture, food and pharmaceutical industries.

In particular, how international business cooperation within the framework of trilateral cooperation between Ukraine, Turkey, and Japan allows to effectively solve the problems of ensuring electricity supply for critical infrastructure and large industries.

Live case studies that have helped domestic businesses and state-owned enterprises responsible for critical infrastructure to continue operations during prolonged blackouts.
