Stages of pre-sale preparation: from unpacking to extreme testing
The pre-sale preparation process is a strictly regulated sequence of actions that eliminates any human error or chance. Each step is documented in internal technical documentation:
- Delivery and thorough visual inspection
After the equipment is transported to the production site, engineers conduct a comprehensive visual inspection. They check the integrity of the protective casing, frame, and engine and generator mounting assemblies. This allows us to completely rule out any hidden deformations or damage that may have occurred during logistics operations.
- Inspection of technical fluids
The generator is filled with certified engine oil and high-quality coolant. Special attention is paid to the precise specifications of the antifreeze. Using a special device—a refractometer—engineers measure the density and exact concentration of the mixture to ensure stable operation of the cooling system both during the summer heat and in conditions of extreme winter cold.
- Diagnostics of Components and Electrical Systems
At this stage, all connections are inspected: the fuel and hydraulic systems are checked for even the slightest leaks, and clamps and hoses are retightened as needed. At the same time, the condition of the battery is diagnosed, and mandatory checks are performed on the tightness of the generator’s power terminals and circuit breakers, which prevents the contacts from overheating when operating at maximum currents.
- Software Configuration and Automation
After power is supplied to the control system, engineers connect specialized software. The parameters of the digital controller are adjusted to account for the customer’s individual requirements and the specifics of their facility. The generator’s auxiliary systems are also tested: the stationary battery charger and the engine cooling jacket heating system, which ensures easy startup of the unit at any time.
- Initial Startup and Idling
A test run of the diesel generator is conducted. Once the engine reaches operating temperature while idling, basic mechanical and electrical parameters are recorded: rotational speed, oil pressure, stability of the output voltage across phases, and the absence of extraneous noise or vibrations.
Load Testing: Simulation of Real-World Operating Conditions
The key and most critical stage of pre-sale preparation is connecting the diesel generator to a special load module. We do not limit ourselves to testing the equipment’s performance under the “ideal” conditions of idle operation.
To ensure that the generator can withstand actual peak loads at the facility, it undergoes extended testing. The equipment is tested under a real load ranging from 50% to 70% (and higher if necessary) of its rated power for 1–2 hours. During this stress test, a computer system continuously monitors the fuel system’s operation, the engine’s temperature, and the stability of the alternator’s output.
Only after successfully passing this extreme test does the equipment receive its final certificate of compliance with the internal quality standards of “Dalgakiran Compressor Ukraine” and is marked as fully ready for shipment and operation under the most challenging B2B conditions.
