Evacuation of miners using the DALGAKIRAN diesel generator

On August 17, shells damaged the mine’s distribution transformer substation and power lines. Workers were safely brought to the surface using a DALGAKIRAN diesel generator previously purchased from Metinvest Group’s Krasnodon Coal. There were no casualties or injuries.

Samsonovskaya-Zapadnaya mine is located in the area where active hostilities have been going on for several days – near the settlements of Novohannivka, Khryashchuvate and Novosvitlivka. The mine’s infrastructure is being destroyed by heavy artillery shelling.

At the moment, the mine is temporarily suspended. Specialists are restoring power supply to switch the mine to life support mode. The operational headquarters and a special commission are determining the extent of the damage and the losses incurred.

Almost all of Krasnodon Coal’s structural units have been affected since the start of active hostilities. The company is in full readiness for emergency evacuation and emergency situations.
